Last Minute Father’s Day Gift Ideas

It’s Father’s Day next Sunday the 21st June. There’s still time to make something special with your children so I’ve trawled through Pinterest and the web to find some of the coolest DIY projects out there. I’ve come up with 7 of my favourite Father’s Day gift ideas so I hope you like them and get a chance to try some of them out. I think myself and Oisin will give the “Love You Dad” cutout a go and the coupon printable book from Tinyme. We usually end up making Mark pancakes in bed for any special occasion so we might just make a few of the “Super Dad” printables too to decorate them! Let me know if you give any of them a go – I’d love to hear!

DIY Father’s Day Banner & Card

I thought this was a cool alternative to a Father’s Day card and it looks pretty simple to make. You can get all the instructions via the Modern Parents Messy Kids blog which is a really great resource for ideas by the way!

Free Father’s Day Printables

These are really professional looking and they’re free! I especially love the coupon book which entitles your dad or dads to things like “5 Beautiful Big Kisses”, “1 Afternoon Nap” or my favourite “One Free Noisy Concert by Me”! You can access the free downloads via the Tinyme blog which I only just happened upon today – it’s fab! Loads of ideas & resources for keeping kids busy such as these brilliant Boredom Buster Activity Sheets – I’ll be revisiting this site next month for sure when Ois in on holidays.

“Super Dad” Printables

These would be perfect for decorating breakfast in bed – whatever it may be! You can access the instructions and downloads via the Catch My Party blog.

Free Printable Father’s Day Poster

I spotted this last year around Father’s Day but never got around to posting it. This could make for a really great gift as the kids can write down all the things they love about their dad(s). There’s also a version that leaves out the “he likes to” so just reads “I’ve got the best dad because”….all you have to do is fill in the rest! All the details are on the wonderful Confetti Sunshine blog.

“DAD You Are RAD” Father’s Day Card

A very simple Father’s Day – the hand lettering by Maiko Nagao is beautiful. You can get the download on Maiko Nagao‘s blog.

We Love You Dad Cutout

I’m definitely going to give this a go. The tutorial makes it sound a bit complicated to be honest but I reckon some cardboard, a stanley knife and a bit of sunshine are all you need. Don’t forget to hold the sign upside-down to get the right effect! If you’d like to check out the tutorial you can find the details on the  Crafty Gator blog.

“You Rock” Cupcakes

I loved these little “You Rock” cupcakes when I saw them. I have to say that I’ve never seen the pebble candy that they refer to in the recipe – I see that’s it’s available from but I’m not sure you’re going to find it in Ireland but I thought I’d share them anyway just in case! You can see all the details on the Oh Happy Day blog. I love the gorgeous photography by Tim Gibson.

Happy Father’s Day and have a great weekend.
